IIPP 5-Year Anniversary - The Entrepreneurial State 2.0: Rethinking the State in the 21st century

The event celebrated the 5th anniversary of the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose and contribute to the vision of the Entrepreneurial State 2.0. The evening included a keynote speech by Professor Mariana Mazzucato followed by a panel of leading voices, including Alicia Bárcena, former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, Shiva Dustdar, Director and Head of the European Investment Bank Institute, Nicola Sturgeon, former First Minister of Scotland and Rt Hon. Lord Willetts FRS, President of the Resolution Foundation. We will explore the new economic thinking, new models of public-private partnerships, institutional changes and entrepreneurial state leadership needed to tackle big challenges. Global leaders, artists and policymakers will also contribute to the evening with a video on what the Entrepreneurial State means today.
