They had a brief conversation and swapped socials; 3 weeks later they hung out together and have been together ever since. Whilst their short relationship of 2 months is fresh, the couple say it's been magical, especially for Madi who as a trans woman says she grew up convinced no one would ever love her. Joseph says he had no clue that Madi was trans when they met until she told him! He says before then he had never even considered dating a trans person but just one month after their first date, Joseph moved Madi into his home. The couple have both been on their own journeys when it comes to gender and sexuality but ultimately say they are the happiest they've ever been. They do still face judgement from people close to them and internet trolls. Madi says she understands that people have reservations about the relationship but she is living her dream.
