'Plants of the Peatlands' is a short film that introduces audiences to iconic peatland plants that are brought to life through cinematic macro filmmaking techniques that offer a closer look at these remarkable and unique plant species found thriving in lowland-raised bog habitats. It highlights the ongoing conservation land management strategies being deployed by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust Peatlands teams in Greater Manchester to preserve peatlands, including 'wetter farming' trials that are supporting both farmers and the environment. As a plant focused film it attempts to foster audience appreciation for both peatlands and their respective plants, while also raising awareness of their importance regarding climate regulation, and adds to the growing body of plant films that are currently under represented in natural history filmmaking.
