In 2013, a new animated Disney film broke box office records and took the world by storm — snowstorm. “Frozen” tells the story of two sisters, Anna and Elsa, the latter of whom has magical ice powers. The movie’s score became an international hit and was destined to make its way to the stage.   In 2018, Disney’s "Frozen" opened on Broadway, holding true to the movie’s story and score, with additional music by songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.   This summer, the magical tale makes its debut on the Muny stage.   In this episode of “In Focus,” we take a look at the history of Disney’s “Frozen” — and a look forward at what our creative team has in store. You’ll hear from Muny Artistic Director & Executive Producer Mike Isaacson, Director John Tartaglia and Choreographer Patrick O’Neill, who will describe the process for bringing this blockbuster to the Muny stage.
