#delhicrime #delhipolice #alipur #narela #menrights A shocking case has come to light from Delhi’s Alipur area, where a mother of three murdered her husband with the help of her lover. The reason? She wanted to start a new life with her boyfriend, but her husband was standing in the way. What’s even more disturbing is that after committing the crime, she filed a missing person report to mislead the police. Months later, a switched-on mobile phone revealed the whole truth. This is the story of Sonia, a resident of Alipur, who was married to Pritam. The couple had three children. It was a love marriage, but over the years, things turned sour. Pritam had become an alcoholic and would often fight with Sonia and physically abuse her. Frustrated, Sonia started chatting with a taxi driver named Rohit on social media. Their bond turned romantic, and soon they decided to be together. But with her husband in the way, Sonia and Rohit decided to get rid of him. Sonia gave a supari (contract) to kill her husband. She contacted her sister’s brother-in-law Vijay, and offered him ₹50,000 to carry out the murder. To arrange the money, she sold her husband's three-wheeler auto-rickshaw. On July 5th, Vijay lured Pritam to stay at his home in Ganaur (Sonipat), and murdered him in his sleep. The body was then dumped in a nearby drain. A few days later, the local police found an unidentified body and performed the last rites, but preserved DNA samples for record. Everything was going according to plan. Sonia filed a missing person complaint on July 20th, pretending to be worried about her husband's sudden disappearance. Initially, the police considered it a routine case. But everything changed when Pritam’s mobile phone, which had been off for months, suddenly turned on. The location pointed to Sonipat. When police traced the phone, they found it with Rohit. During questioning, he first tried to mislead investigators, but eventually confessed to his involvement. Rohit revealed that Sonia had given him Pritam’s phone and told him to dispose of it. However, tempted by the phone's value, he kept it and inserted his own SIM card — a move that led police straight to him. Once caught, Sonia too admitted to the conspiracy. This chilling case raises a serious question: Are men also becoming silent victims of domestic abuse? Society often talks about violence against women, and rightly so. But what happens when a man is harassed or killed by his own wife and her lover? Shouldn’t that deserve equal attention? Sonia, Rohit, and Vijay have all been booked for murder, conspiracy, and destruction of evidence. Vijay was already in jail in a separate theft case. The police are also investigating what other evidence Sonia tried to destroy. This incident shows the darker side of relationships — where love turns into manipulation and murder. It’s also a wake-up call for society and law enforcement to start acknowledging that men too can be victims of abuse and deserve justice just the same.
