The pair are first seen on Friday 7th March heading south through Leighton Buzzard. On Saturday, 34100, wearing the name 'Ogmore' hauled the first 'Ogmore Express' of the year, doing a lap of the Surrey Hills from London Victoria with Class 37 No. D6704 bringing up the rear. RTL Class 411 4-CEP No. 1592 was also out on its usual SouthEastern hire duties. The Bulleid is seen leaving Victoria, accelerating through Shepherds Bush and joining the South West Main Line at Byfleet and New Haw. The following weekend, both engines were out on a 'Spitfire' tour from Victoria to Faversham and Sheerness. 34100 is first seen, with its 'Appledore' nameplates restored, passing Shortlands and Longfield at speed, before meeting the CEP again near Rochester. Upon arrival in Faversham, 44781 dragged the whole train to Sheerness-on-Sea before both were serviced at Sittingbourne, seen passing Teynham and Kemsley on the Sheerness Branch. 34100 led the return leg back to London via Dover and Ashford, with 44781 hitching a ride on the rear as far as Tonbridge, seen crossing the Swale Swing Bridge, accelerating through Sittingbourne and departing the passenger pickup at Faversham before tackling the 1:100 climb to Selling.
