RST Pro Series Supersport-K comparison. I recently purchased both of these jackets unsure as to my size. One is a 40, the other a 42. Note that the size chart said the 40 was a euro 50, and my Dainese super speed 4 is a euro 48, I thought I’d have a little extra room, I was wrong. RST sizing is unique to themselves so don’t make the same mistake. The 40 was advertised as having CE L2 back, shoulders, and arms. The 42 was advertised as having CE L2 arms and shoulders. I missed the small print where it said the back was a pocket only. When the 42 came, I was unpleasantly surprised to see I had missed the small detail of the excluded back armor. Apart of the purchase of this jacket was it being an all in one solution without any additional costs. It’s a minor detail, with a big impact. Overall it’s still a great value for money at $579.99 from SportbikeTrackGear Note the small was on close out and I believe is last years model, and sold at $499.99 also from STG Just a little upset over the update to remove the included armor. That said, the shoulder armor is substantially beefier on the new product, which I don’t believe to be size related. But it may be due to the difference between Small and Medium. The big difference in marketing material seems to be the 42 (potentially newer product) carried the D30 mark, while the 40 does not. I will be returning the 40 to STG. I had it listed for sale incase anyone local needed a great jacket urgently, no one bit on the post. So it’ll get returned to STG Thanks all for joining me for some more gear talk! @s@sportbiketrackgearrst@rstmotodirect
