When the Prophet first preached openly on Mount Safa, Abu Lahab harshly said: "Tabban laka ya Muhammad, a lihadza jama'tana?" (Woe to you, Muhammad! Is it only for this purpose that you gathered us?) “Perish both hands of Abu Lahab, and truly he will be destroyed. It is of no use to him the possessions and things he earns.” (Surah Al-Masad: 1-2) This verse shows Allah's reply to Abu Lahab's continuous opposition to the Prophet ﷺ. The Revelation of Surah Al-Kahf (Verses 23-24) Context: The Quraysh challenged the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to explain the story of Ashabul Kahf (cave dweller). The Prophet said, "I will answer tomorrow," but he forgot to say "Insha Allah." As a result, the revelation was delayed for several days, and this became an important lesson. "And never say about something: 'Indeed I will do it tomorrow morning,' except (by saying): God willing." (Surah Al-Kahf: 23-24) This verse teaches Muslims to always depend on Allah's will in all things.
