Guest fighters in particular often feel like they walked right out of their home series, with physics and mechanics designed to feel as close to their original gameplay as possible. However...it doesn't always happen that way. Sometimes things don't go according to plan, and a certain blue hedgehog is proof of it--for various reasons, Sonic's gameplay in Smash has never quite clicked. His moveset, while inspired by his games (Sonic the Fighters especially), still feels like it misses its potential. And through various quirks and oversights, his optimal playstyle for a long time has been to run away from opponents and slow down matches in a way that feels completely out-of-character! But what if we could do something about that?
