Welcome back guys to another video, sorry I haven't uploaded in awhile. Almost a year now ha ha, I had studies and personal matters to attend to. today we explore a small drain in the Sutherland Shire which I am not able to disclose the exact location of for the safety of the viewer, sorry. Surprisingly for the small town it is there are a few and this is just on of many that have been explored. Also even though one of our mates pranks us you can still hear separate noises coming in front of us, which implies it wasn't just him. not sure if there was someone else in here with us. Also later in the video you'll see why you should absolutely never do drains or other similar tunnels when it rains. Join us to find out! Do not repeat any actions seen this video, we do not condone you repeat anything depicted in this video and if you insist like us, here are some tips. 1.Unlike buildings with mostly structural risks, subterranean exploration presents many more risks so it's recommended you tell a friend or relative to contact you an hour more than the expected time of the explore as you will have a really hard time getting phone signal underground and if something goes wrong they'll know you haven't contacted them and notify emergency services. It should never come to this, so instead let us take the risk so you don't have to. 2. Always bring multiple torches preferably ones that are waterproof. Enough if one or two dies. 3. Don't do drains or caves when it rains! 4. Don't do drains or caves when it rains! yep I said that again. 5. if you feel a cool breeze or cold air coming from further up turn back immediately , this could mean water is approaching. 6. Air quality- if you smell gas turn back! people underestimate this one! Methane, Hydrogen sulfide, Carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen monoxide etc can cause fainting or worse death. You should bring a gas meter that reads the air quality on your explores. The really dangerous part about Sulfur dioxide is if you encounter it once, it will make it so you can no longer smell it almost immediately after. so even if you smell it only once, get out. 7. Know the difference between 'Drains' and 'sewers' they do get used interchangeably sometimes, but apart from the obvious there are differences. One being drains are basically underground creeks for storm water run off while the other is more of the 'disgusting type" and does not warrant exploration. We will explore most places but in use-sewers are Definitely not one of them. They are usually air tight in some places and are completely unsafe as well as unhygienic. you may see a lot of videos with titles using the word sewer but I assure in most cases they are actually referring to storm water drains. Sewers are extremely difficult to exit from if an emergency were to arise. So please do not do sewers. not that you would want to anyway, but some people explore them. I'm not one of them. 8. Draining can be amazing and more often then not you may see some pretty cool sights, one being stalactites. usually calcium deposits. these should be left alone so other explorers can enjoy them as well. you may also see eels and bats. leave them alone and they should do the same in return. I recommend reading further for more online as there is plenty on caving, Draining, bunkers etc when it comes to safety tips. #urbex #draining #urbanexploration #tunnels #abandoned #abandonedplaces #subterranean #underground #exploration #urbexphotography #urbanphotography #creepyplaces #decay #spelunking #Abandonedaustralia #aussieurbex Follow my Instagram for more cool places at : / aussieurbexsydney
