In this video we take a last look at the rarely used railway line from Kolešovice to Krupá with a camera mounted on the front of a 125 year old 0-6-0T steam locomotive built by Krauss (Linz) in 1899. Our train starts out next to a dirt road serving nearby houses, the dirt road becomes a track eventually fading away into pretty countryside and productive farm land. With no fences and unprotected level crossings the driver made good use of the whistle to let people know we are coming. Dark skies welcomed our arrival at the junction station of Krupá where our locomotive ran round its train in pouring rain, fortunately this was just a brief downpour and after a short wait for a local one carriage train to clear the single track section we set off in glorious sunshine towards Lužná u Rakovníka where a long freight train was waiting to enter the single track section back towards Krupá. The station was a hive of activity with 3 local trains, a freight train and our little charter train arriving and departing within minutes of each other. We thanked the friendly train crew who'd looked after our group for most of the day and made our way to a diesel multiple unit waiting to whisk us back to Prague, all in all it had been a very good day.
