Standing ticket only available for 15Baht per person. But sat on fan-only class 3 car, and half of the people sat as standees. Arrived at Khuntan station at 7:35am. Started hiking from Khun Tan tunnel trail that is outside of the NP for 1.2 miles before the gate. It costs 100baht per pedestrian and requires sign in. Thai military controls the NP and is omnipresent. U1-U4 trailhead marks the end of the paved road and requires another sign in with checking in and out times. Trail consists of concrete steps, ramps, and dirt passing through 4Us. Trail is fairly nicely maintained, soaking within the tropical rainforest and higher elevation evergreen trees. Scenes are okay and not breathtaking. There are not many visitors even on a Sunday. However, there are backpackers as well. Roundtrip is 10.5 miles, and return train to Chiang Mai at 1:35pm is recommended or wait until 6:30pm Hello, welcome to my channel, Seize The Nature.
