It can be really overwhelming to move to a country where you don't speak the language and it becomes more frustrating when you don't fully understand what the different things in your salary slip means. So, in today's video, we'll go through the different components in the German payslip. Here's a summary of the different sections and the important terms in each section that might be useful for you to understand your payslip. 1. Personal Information Section: ================================== Personal-Nr. – Employee number Geburtsdatum – Date of birth StKl – Tax class Ki.Frbtr.-Number of tax exemptions for your children (1= 1 child; 2= 2 children and so on) Konfession – Religion ((Blank) = No religion information; RK = Roman Catholic; EV = Protestant) Freibetrag – Tax-free allowance St.-Tg. – Tax days (usually 30) SV-Tg – Social security days (usually 30) SV-Nummer (Sozialversicherungsnummer)– Social security number Krankenkasse – Your health Insurance Provider KK % – Health insurance contribution percentage Eintritt– Date of joining in the company Steuer-ID – Tax ID number Url. Anspr.- Number of Vacation days as per your job contract.(Usually 24-30 days annually) Url. Tg. gen. – Approved vacation days YTD 2.
