Eagle Creek Trail to Punchbowl Falls- On March 27, 2017 my husband and I were taking a long weekend up at the Columbia Gorge, so we took a hike up the Eagle Creek Trail. The Eagle Creek Trail is used by a lot of Pacific Crest Trail thru-hikers in the summer because Tunnel Falls is a spectacular sight to see. However at mile 3 the trail was washed out by a landslide, so we couldn't continue on to Tunnel Falls. Multiple people die on this trail every year due to the super steep drop offs into the river canyon.
