This week I've been playing a preview copy of “Essence: The Grim Expeditions”. This is a print and play dice-based dungeon explorer where you guide a party of heroes through a path of encounters towards a boss monster battle. The game has significant replay value with multiple heroes, hero skill/stat advancement, multiple dungeon pathways, multiple scenarios and scenarios for parties of different levels. In this video I overview the main game and play through the first node/encounter (attacked by rats in the sewers). This is a preview copy so some elements may change after the Gamefound campaign.
