For the past 43 years, UC Berkeley’s Vietnamese Student Association (Cal VSA) has held an annual culture, an entirely student-run production depicting personal and touching stories that bring older and younger generations together while showcasing traditional performances, such as lion dance and lotus dance, as well as exciting modern dance performances! This year's 44th culture show is Cal VSA's first-ever show in San Francisco at Toni Rembe Theater of American Conservatory Theater, a Tony-award-winning non-profit theater. Join us for a story about generational trauma and the beautiful and horrible things we can inherit. After the loss of her mother, Vân and her father have a strained relationship, and she struggles with her feelings for her best friend. The anxiety and stress unlock her power to raise the tides and call down storms as her sorrow becomes overwhelming. Can her loved ones bring her home?
