"Kusatta umi de oborekaketeiru boku wo sukuttekureta kimi" - "You, who saved me from drowning in the rotten sea." The re-upload for the sub that was lost when my previous channel got deleted. I felt obliged to finally put this cruelly beautiful song back up again. The translation is brand-new and the audio track is fixed, too. Notes: 1) 1:44 - Besides “to tick away (time)” 刻む (kizamu) also means “to mince/ to chop up”. ("The clock’s hand that ticks away time, cruelly chops me up that sorrowful night.") 2) There are three different kinds of "love" Daisuke sings about in this song. In the beginning he says he fell in love with her crying face and uses "恋した" (koishita), a very strong, passionate word for love in Japanese. Then, in the chorus he uses the casual "大好き" (daisuki) - "I like you a lot / You're dear to me". And lastly he sings "愛している" (aishiteiru) which is finally a confession of his serious romantic feelings. ~This is my translation / interpretation.
