Titles read: 'NOW Pathe Pictorial has pleasure in presenting - A singer whose voice over the air, or on the records, is heard by millions - but whose personality is known to few. JACK PLANT - the popular singer." Pathe Studio, London. Jack Plant, dressed in black tie and dinner jacket, stands before a microphone on a set dressed to look like a radio studio. He sings 'The Isle of Capri' accompanied by a man at the grand piano and another playing the guitar on his lap (Hawaiian style). Jack is interrupted by a radio announcer (also in black tie and dinner jacket) who says they have a few minutes until they go on air. He asks Jack how many times he has broadcast and Jack replies he has lost count. When asked which bands he has sung with he says "Nearly all the leading broadcasting bands". Asked which is his favourite number, he says 'The Isle of Capri' and sings the refrain. The announcer says "Quiet boys" then steps up to the microphone. He announces Jack, who then sings 'What A Difference A Day Makes'. FILM ID:1640.11 A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
