Necrobutcher the last original member of Mayhem
"Jørn Stubberud, known as Necrobutcher, is a founding member and bassist of the legendary Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. Active since 1984, he left the band in 1991 after the tragic death of vocalist Dead and conflicts with guitarist Euronymous, who was later murdered in 1993. Necrobutcher rejoined Mayhem in 1995, helping to reform the band. In 2018, he released The Death Archives: Mayhem 1984–94, a book documenting the band's early years. Controversially, Necrobutcher revealed he once planned to confront Euronymous, claiming the police were aware of Varg Vikernes' intent to kill Euronymous due to phone surveillance. Necrobutcher remains an influential figure in black metal history."
