Applique is the process of fusing fabrics onto a background fabric to form a pattern or image. There are multiple ways to fuse the shapes. However, today we are focusing on fusible raw-edge machine applique. Don't let the raw edge part concern you; a few people have expressed concerns to us that it may fray! So we tested 5 different brands and types of fusible webbing, appliqued, quilted, washed and then to finish, we popped the sample into an industrial dryer to see if it frayed, and the results were that not one single webbing left any fraying! So, we are very confident that you will also love applique, and in this tutorial, we have taken a deep dive!
