🇹🇷 We took a road trip to Lake Çıldır, north of Kars Province in Eastern Turkey, and visited Doğruyol Village which is an Azeri inhabited settlement located at the point where the Turkish, Georgian and Armenian borders meet. To be more specific, the village is populated by Terekeme people, an ethnic group of Azerbaijanis, who mostly live in Dagestan, Azerbaijan and Turkey. At the village we met a local Azeri man named Atanur who protects the Armenian church and the old Armenian graves from treasure hunters. He showed us the ancient 10th-century church and the mosque that was built adjacent to it. Later on we visited the site of an old Armenian cemetery, where Atanur told us that when people dig the ground and bases of houses, they find many human bones and skulls.
