Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I–IV) is about time, space, and cosmology. The famous four-note motif sets the tone: simple on paper, incredibly hard to make it speak. What follows is a slow construction made of sustained notes, controlled bends, wide vibrato and long pauses — phrases that feel closer to a human voice than to a guitar. In these sections, David Gilmour lets the sound breathe. Riccardo plays the Gilmour parts from I to IV focusing on tone, dynamics and phrasing, trying to respect what makes this music so complex.
