When Your Lamborghini Gallardo Oil Pressure Gauge Goes To ZERO!

👋 So it is spring time, which means oil change for the Lambo! However, the last few months I've been dealing with an oil sensor issue. I was driving the car and after a 20 mile trip, an Oil Sensor light came up on the dash. While that was present, my oil temperature gauge moved to the hottest setting. Freaked me out a lot since I didn't know if my engine was over heating. I read the codes and it just said sensor. It didn't say anything indicating the oil was actually over heating. Started up the car and the gauge was fine. Then a little bit of driving later the temp gauge shows the coldest temperate. At that point the pressure gauge started rising more then normal under acceleration. So all this while I'm 20 miles from home was quite a bit to deal with! Then my Oil Min light came on the dash to continue to freak me out. With this I limped the car home stopping multiple times to check the engine and read codes. Turns out all of this was symptoms of my oil level sensor on it's way out. These were all intermittent codes as well and simply due to the sensor starting the fail. Nothing was actually wrong with the car and over the last 2 months I still drove over 600 miles in the car while I waited on the new sensor. So in todays video I do my annual oil change on the Gallardo which is pretty straight forward and show how to replace the oil level sensor which is located in the rear sump tank. I also found a small egear leak. Looks like the E-Gear tank lid had a loose connection to the top hose. So I put a sip tie on the connection and that should solve the small leak. Level was still within the Min and Max line, but I plan to top that off. For the oil change I filled the car with 8 quarts and that seems to be right were it should be.
