High winds, a narrow and poorly marked channel, equipment issues, and a wrapped prop line led to a hard aground impact on rocks — not mud or sand, but solid rock. Unlike previous soft groundings, this time we were completely stuck. Both rudders were damaged and split from the impact, leaving our liveaboard catamaran stranded in the Florida Keys and requiring a tow from Key Largo to Fort Lauderdale for repairs.
