This video is part of the 30 videos in 30 days, for the month of November 2022. Here we are comparing three awesome Klon style pedal: Nux Horseman/Wampler Tumnus mini/ J.Rockett Archer. Why compare them? Because all three of these pedals are aiming for the KLON CENTAUR. Each of these pedals are doing something slightly different. The Horseman can do both the Silver and Gold Klon. The Tumnus is a little more bass heavy and the Archer is said to be one of the closest pedals to the original circuit. The Horseman sells for less than a $100. The Tumnus and Archer are above the $100 mark. Which one is better for your needs? Have a listen and let me know in the comments. I'm using my Vox AC15c1 loaded with a Celestion Greenback, the mic is a Shure SM57, slightly off-axis. The signal chain then goes to a PreSonus Studio 192 Mobile. In Reaper, there is a high pass filter at 100Hz and a mastering limiter at -14dB LUFS. No other processing applied.
