The Real Story behind the new Clicks Communicator... BlackBerry Fans, we need to talk!

If you're hoping for a new BlackBerry in 2026, not so fast... but we think you're going to love what the Bring Back BlackBerry crew and Team Clicks has been cooking!! At CES in Las Vegas earlier this year Clicks Technology unveiled Communicator and it literally stole the show with news of the Clicks phone popping beyond the tech bubble to go viral around the world. In addition to being one of the most talked about products of the year and winning numerous Best of CES awards, even the likes of the New York Times have christened Communicator as the "2026 Heir to the BlackBerry." On this episode CrackBerry Kevin and Jeff Gadway unpack the full story behind the campaign to Bring Back BlackBerry and the Clicks Communicator. Fun Fact: Communicator started as "Project Clover", a name which goes back to March 17th, 2023 (St. Patty's Day!) when CBK registered ClicksPhone.com and fittingly gave the device the codename "Clover." Wanting to honor BlackBerry's past in the best way possible, Clicks pulled in Joseph Hofer, the industrial designer from BlackBerry who designed the most iconic BBs of all time including the Bold 9000 and Bold 9900 to lead the charge on bringing Communicator to life. There is sooo much thoughtfulness in Communicator's design - it really is OPTIMAL. So what does this mean for the movement to Bring Back BlackBerry?
