Grief can feel like a rollercoaster you never asked to ride 🎢 . One moment you are steady. The next moment you are climbing, bracing, or dropping into emotions you did not plan for. But what if grief is not just about surviving the ride… what if there are choices in the line? In this video, I share my shift from standing in fear of the big drop to choosing a different ride. The ride of peace. The ride of joy. The ride where Psalm 118:24 reminds us, “This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” From then to now, I had to ask myself hard questions: Then… Was I rehearsing pain before the day even arrived? Was I letting other people’s grief stories define mine? Was I bracing for impact instead of trusting God? Now… Can I choose how I stand in this day? Can I honor my loved one without drowning in dread? Can I trust that this day still belongs to God? Grief is real. The loss is real. But so is choice. This video is about shifting mindset, anchoring in faith, and realizing that even on the hardest anniversaries, you still have the power to decide how you will stand.
