The wait is over. Part 1 of the reason I was more deeply off-grid and in the middle of nowhere for a couple weeks -- more than usual, that is. Towards the end of last year, right around the time I started working on the van build, Thibaut, a friend from Montreal messaged me about a trip he was planning with some fellow overlanders / off-road enthusiasts and invited me to come along. The plan was to travel the most remote road in North America, the Trans-Taiga Highway in northern Quebec. One thing to know about pretty much anywhere in northern Canada is that it's very very sparsely populated. Where we went there was nothing but Hydro Quebec service stations for the massive network of dams that powers the province and even parts of the north eastern US. Like I said, this is part 1. I'm not sure how long this entire series will end up being, but there's plenty more to come.
