For this video then, I dig out the S301.1, and get that loadwheel spinning in there. Forwards, backwards and at top whack! :D Are you ready for the Loadwheel action? Hold on then! :D Characteristics for a Sangamo Weston S301.1: Three phase - Four wire. 3x 240v, 3x 50A, 50Hz. 40 revs = kWh This meter is fitted with the FLOTON® magnetic bearing. Because this meter is a three-phase instrument, I have wired it in a certain way so-as to make the loadwheel go at triple speed. This is because this meter is a rather low-revving meter, and if I energised just one of the phase coil-sets, there would not be much loadwheel action.... even at full power. There will be three sections to this video: 1........ Nice mellow-run so you can see the loadwheel moving. 2........ Full-power run. See the loadwheel going at it full-bore! :D 3........ Reverse run. This one does not have an anti-reverse. A stop-watch is on view in this video so that you can definitely see that this footage is running at real-time and not whizzed-up or run backwards in a video editor.
