The Audi Q8 e-tron, previously known simply as the "e-tron," is the brand's fully electric midsize SUV. While it shares its name and platform with the gas-powered Q8, the similarities end there. The Q8 e-tron features distinct exterior and interior styling, smaller dimensions, and an available Sportback variant. For 2024, Audi refreshed its flagship electric SUV. Along with rebranding it as part of the “Q8” lineup, the update introduced a redesigned exterior, a higher-capacity battery, and improved suspension tuning for enhanced comfort and driving dynamics. Built on the MLB Evo platform—originally designed for internal combustion engines—the Q8 e-tron’s architecture has been adapted for its electric powertrain. It features a fully aluminum multi-link suspension setup at both ends, paired with adaptive dampers and air springs. In the U.S., the Q8 e-tron is offered with a single powertrain configuration. It includes dual electric motors (one on each axle for all-wheel drive) and a 114 kWh battery. The system delivers up to 402 horsepower in boost mode (355 horsepower during normal driving). This setup translates to a 0–60 mph time of about 5.4 seconds and an EPA-estimated range of 285 miles. For charging, the Q8 e-tron can go from 10% to 80% in about 31 minutes using DC fast charging. With Level 2 charging, a full charge takes approximately 13 hours—unless you opt for the upgraded 19 kW onboard charger, which reduces that time to just 6.5 hours.
