What Does the XPS Viewer Do? --------------------------------------------------------------------- The XPS Viewer is a great program if you don't have a printer but would like to print something. Its function is to allow you to save the file exactly as if it were going to be printed.  If you have a Word document, select the File menu and then Print. From the list of available printers, select Microsoft XPS Viewer and hit Print. You will be prompted to save the file. Type in the file name and location as you would in any other instance. Once the file is saved you can open it with the XPS Viewer.  Printing Your File --------------------------------------------------------------------- Once the file is saved, you can open it from an XPS Printer. Now you can email this file, save it on a thumb-drive or otherwise get this file to a printer-ready computer. Once you are at a computer with a printer, open the file.
