A fantastic 15 mile hike through the lower part of Cumbria and into the Lake District national park. This first stretch takes us from the official start in the historic town of Ulverston. From there we head into the National Park of The Lake District and head North to Coniston. In this adventure we will complete a multi-day hike through the beautiful county of Cumbria. One of England's most amazing counties. This is Cumbria's most iconic route and a must do for any hiker looking to move into multi-day hiking. For multi day thru hikes this is the most iconic and best walk in the lake district capturing some of the best scenery in the lakes on 5 very different days from the rolling hills of Cumbria before carrying out three days walking in the Lake District national park. On the route you will visit lakeland villages of Coniston before passing through the Langdale Valley on the way to Keswick. Exiting the lake district National park at Caldbeck before finishing day 5 in the contested border town of Carlisle which has been claimed as part of England and Scotland over the decades in fierce battles.
