Christmas and New Year Holiday in Singapore The Cosplay, The Hai Di Lao, The Avatar, The Fireworks at New Year's Eve Every year-end Holiday, I usually back to Singapore to spent Christmas and New Year with family and friend. This year's Christmas Eve, we first went to Suntec City in the morning. My wife went for shopping, and I happened to catch up with a Cosplay event which was held in Suntec Convention Hall too. I took a lot of footages for those vibrant kids who fancy about the Cosplay and Japanese Anime. All footages are taken under the permission by actors. Too bad that I almost know nothing about Anime and Cosplay, and I can't recognize which characters they acted. But it's cool and I appreciate it although I don't understand much. Just let the kids live the dreams. We had a lunch with one of our friends at 313 Shopping Centre. "Hai Di Lao" is one of our favorite restaurants. The MALA hot pot is superb as long as you don't mind the extra Chilli. After lunch, my wife went shopping at Orchard Road as during the holiday season, almost all merchandise at Orchard Road is on sale with big discount. I went for the Movie: Avatar 2 which I was expected for a long time. During the Nighttime of Christmas Eve at Orchard Road, I also took some footages and trying to capture some joyful moment. For the night-time camera exposure is still an issue for me and I have to switch from full auto-setting to manual exposure. It is a bit challenge for an amateur photographer, but I have to overcome it. For the New Year's Eve, we went to Marina Bay to watch the fireworks show after 3 years. This year, my wife had a chance to sit at the Float@Marina Bay thanks for her company's benefit with the group tickets. I went to the Esplanade around 7pm just in order to get a good shooting spot where I can put my tripod. In fact, I still too late. A lot of professional Photographers came even in the afternoon. A kind Sri Lanka Family were so nice to me and give me a space with a perfect "Unblock" place to setup my tripod and I finally get some good footage of the fireworks show. We quickly retreated from our locations before the count down and successfully avoid the crowd. As we had some experience before and know how the crowd condition after the mid-night is.
