This inexpensive 40 square foot rapid-deployment shelter cost me $850 with all new ready available materials, except for the 6mm fluted plastic which I found at a plastics warehouse. It can also be used as a shed, office, children or in-law room. Using 6mm fluted plastic with capped ends, the trapped air does give some insulation properties. Three layers of half inch foil-backed white foam board can be added for extra insulation, but here, I chose not to insulate the structure. My oil heater on low kept the inside 35 degrees warmer than the outside. The structure dis-assembles in 5 sections with a wrench and cordless drill to an 8x8 footprint that can be hauled on a pick-up truck or trailer.
