Chasing Arctic Grayling in a Colorado Alpine Stream! | FLY FISHING COLORADO

The Arctic Grayling is hands down one of my favorite fish to catch on a fly rod. Not only are they stunning to look at with their colored up sail fins, these fish also put on a show by often aggressively exploding on dry flies in a way that has you grinning ear to ear, and they fight a lot harder for their size when compared to their trout cousins. While Grayling aren't native to Colorado, they can be found if you know where and when to look for them. So I headed up to an alpine lake in the high country with my dad and father-in-law, to fish an inlet stream that we knew Grayling like to swim up to spawn during the Summer.
