If you saw my last video, you heard about one of the best ways to calm anxiety is to accept anxiety. We just react, and do not always understand why. We can unintentionally be victims of our emotional state without even realizing it. The first step to stoping this habit of over reacting to our emotional state is noticing what our internal world is experiencing. Noticing and observing our inner world of thoughts and emotions and how we are doing in the moment is a practice called Mindfulness. Mindfulness techniques can help us calm ourselves and reduce our anxiety by connecting to the present moment with an attitude of acceptance. In this video, you will find some specific mindfulness techniques to help you notice what body sensations, thoughts and feelings you are experiencing in the moment. If you haven’t practiced Mindfulness in the past, this may seem strange, to not react to your thoughts and feelings, but just notice them.
