Lagos Market Fire: Shops Burn at Arena Market in Oshodi

A fire outbreak has destroyed several shops at Arena Market in the Bolade area of Oshodi, Lagos State, causing panic among traders and residents. The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service says it received a distress call at about 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday and immediately deployed firefighting crews to the scene. According to the Controller General of the Fire Service, Margaret Adeseye, the fire affected ten container shops used mainly for clothing storage and sales. Firefighters were able to contain the flames, preventing the spread to other sections of the market, and no casualties have been reported.
