This building is just plain weird. This building is a centerpiece of Downtown Elkhart and has one of the weirdest designs I've ever seen. Before I tell you about the layout of the building, this building contains offices for Crowe, Indiana Trust Company, USI Insurance, Burt Advisory Group, and former offices for Wells Fargo, now Flagstar Bank in the Midwest. Besides all of those offices, this is also where the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for Elkhart County is located, which is the main tenant in the building. Now onto the structure of this building, it's so odd! The way this building is layout is there's two separate addresses, which I consider the same building, but anyway, 307 S Main St and 301 S Main St are connected with some weird sky bridge that goes over a little parking deck. Besides having an odd layout, this building contains a fairly nice elevator. It was originally an Otis, either with Lexan, or Black Buttons, but it got modded by Schindler with Mad BS Fixtures. In my opinion, this elevator has a tasteful mod as it still runs great and is really fast for four stories! Even the arrows I believe are original. BTW, there's another elevator in the 301 S Main St part of this building and all I know about it is that it's a Haughton, but I'm not sure if it was modernized as the other half of the building was closed for President's Day, when I originally filmed this.
