Simple Steering Setup -- Lowrider Wagon - ラジオフライヤーワゴンカスタム

In this video I go over the simple steering setup I made for my latest wagon build. The assembly is made up of: 2 pieces of square tube - the front beam 2 axle bolts 2 king pin bolts with sleeves 3 pieces of flat stock - the steering arms 3 small bolts - attach the steering arms to steering shaft 1 large bolt - steering shaft Assorted washers and nuts 2 turnbuckles for tightening cable -- tie rod linkage I began the steering assembly by cutting and bending the square tubing that makes up the front beam. Once the beam was narrowed, I was able to mock up and weld the king pin bolts. Next, I set the axleshaft endplay by tightening the bolts onto the wheels. Once I achieved my desired endplay, I cut the ends off the axle nuts and welded them to the kingpin assembly. I bolted wheels to the spindle and began working on the steering arms. The steering arms were all pre-drilled for the bolts that secure the tie rod linkages. I started by welding the large washer that acts as the guide for the steering shaft. With the steering shaft in place, I clamped two pieces of wood to the sides of wagons to align the wheels. With the wheels aligned, I welded the control arms to the steering shaft and the ends of the two king pin bolts. With the welds done, I was able to bolt the tie rods down and secure the wheels.
