PureBasic itself has a 25 plus year history of being successful and otherwise finding its niche in helping programmers get work done. Part of this video will be me reflecting on this. Through this video I do uncover a few interesting features like associating types with the name declaration, invoking debuggers and memory profilers in source, a neat macro system, prototypes (for function pointers), and a basic language that has built-in types (map, list, array). Overall the Pure Basic language seems to be a great language for beginners who want to learn and not have their progress stopped, or otherwise the experienced developer who wants to take advantage of the many built-in libraries and functions to just get work done.
