Patented by C.Crane for good reason. The shortwave section is very sensitive and performs very well on just a simple wire connection. Features I like about this radio: Easy to read LCD Display. Phenomenal AM performance. Fantastic SW reception. External Antenna Jacks. Speaker audio is perfect. Bass/Treble controls. Local/World Time feature. Dual Alarms. Nice, large snooze button. 43" whip antenna. Flush mounted handle. Option to run AA or D cell batteries. What a great idea. Charges NiMH batteries when using an AC adapter. No Mute on tuning. This is huge. Fast/Slow option on the tuning wheel. Seek function is sensitive. The story concerning this radio. I found it on ebay as a "Parts Only" radio. Found out it has a funky filter/FM select switch. I got it to work, and I use this radio as a frequency checker for my larger analog radios. Overall, I recommend anyone that is into high performance AM and Shortwave radios, should hunt one of these down. You will be happy you did. The CCRadio SW is a radio I wish C.Crane still made.
