For the past 15 years, Erinch has explored what needs to change for businesses to help address the world's social and ecological crises. Is it stronger government regulation, more courageous leadership among CEOs, or greater pressure from consumers and investors? Or is the deeper design of business itself in need of transformation? In this talk, Erinch shares his journey across these approaches and the lessons he has learned about unlocking the transformations our society and planet urgently need from the world of business. Erinch Sahan has spent 20 years leading initiatives across business, civil society, academia and government to transform business. He currently leads the work at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, where he manages the Foundation’s £430 million investment to promote a just and equitable future. Prior to joining JRF, Erinch spent four years leading a global community of practitioners who apply the concept of Doughnut Economics to the business environment. Erinch has also served as CEO of the World Fair Trade Organization, taught sustainability at the University of Cambridge, led campaigns at Oxfam, managed development programs for the Australian government, set market strategy at Procter & Gamble, and served on the boards of the Social Enterprise World Forum and the Finance Innovation Lab. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
