In this video you can drive along on the A1 Trakia Motorway and a short stretch of I-5 from Chirpan to Stara Zagora in Bulgaria. The A1 Trakia Motorway is the country's longest motorway, running from its capital Sofia to the seaside city of Burgas. So far, the A1 is the only West-East motorway in Bulgaria, although the remaining lots of the A2 Hemus Motorway will be constructed and finished in the upcoming years, creating a second West-East link in the country. The A2 Hemus runs North of the Balkan Mountains, connecting Sofia with the seaside city of Varna. Stara Zagora is one of the larger cities on the A1 together with Plovdiv, which is more West.
