On 10 April 2025, Symrise celebrated World Vanilla Day for the second time. The day marks the foundation of the modern flavor and fragrance industry with the first synthesis of vanillin by coniferin in Holzminden, Germany, in 1874. This year‘s commemorative event was held at the recently opened Fine Fragrance Penthouse in Manhattan and provided an exciting insight into 150 years of vanilla expertise. Customers from the fragrance and flavor industry enjoyed a multi-sensory aroma and taste experience that showcased the diversity and depth of Symrise‘s vanilla expertise. A keynote speech by renowned industry expert and author Paula Limena (The Millennial Mind: A Survival Guide for All Generations in the Digital Age and The Alpha Generation: Architects of the Future) discussed consumer behavior and trends within the Alpha generation.
