I don't know exactly how many book reviews I wrote for this, but my script was 15,000 words long. Too long to present off-the-cuff, so I read the reviews as a VoiceOver, using some of the B-roll I've shot over the last 3 years. I spent exactly ZERO brain cells trying to match the video with the books, so the clips come in completely random order. Read about AFFECTIVE REALISM: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1... On Jack Schaffer's principle of the writer's highest purpose: https://americanaejournal.hu/index.ph... I forgot to mention in the video that I listened to Charlotte's Web on audiobook while I packed up my apartment last October. I'd been thinking about it since I'd made the video about the "books that made me," the most important books I read as a child that shaped me as an early reader. Charlotte's Web is still excellent. I also forgot to mention that I reread The Great Gatsby on New Years Eve. oops. I also forgot to mention that I read The Story of My Teeth by Valeria Luiselli. oops. I also forgot to mention that I read The Portable Voltaire. oops. I think that's it. New videos coming soon.
