Pure Politics : देश में चुनाव के दौरान हर पार्टी, वोटर से वादा करती है, विकास के विजन पेश करती है, बड़ी बड़ी बातें करती है. मतदाता उनके किए गए वादों से प्रभावित होते भी हैं, लेकिन एक बड़ी हकीकत ये है कि चाहे उम्मीदवारों का चयन हो या फिर मतदताओं की ओर किया जाने वाला मतदान. ज्यादातार मामलों में जाति और धर्म से ही प्रभावित होते हैं. उत्तर भारत कहें या फिर हिंदी भाषी राज्यो में तो बिना जाति-बिरादरी के चुनाव की कल्पना ही नहीं की जा सकती. स्थानीय चुनावों में वोट डालने का पैटर्न ही लोकसभा-विधानसभा चुनावों में देखने को मिलता है. उसमें भी बिहार और यूपी जैसे राज्य...इस मामले में पहले पायदान पर हैं. यहां का पूरा का पूरा चुनाव ही, सिर्फ और सिर्फ इसी पर बेस्ड होता है. लेकिन इन सबके बीच एक दिलचस्प आंकड़ा भी बिहार में देखने को मिला है. भले ही बिहार में जातिगत जनगणना कराने के बाद जिसती जितनी हिस्सेदारी, उसकी उतनी भागीदारी का नारा बुलंद हो रहा हो.. लेकिन सच्चाई है कि बिहार में आधे से ज्यादा लोकसभा सीटों पर सिर्फ 5 जातियों का ही कब्जा रहा है.
