How to Use a Old Vintage Fish Finder / Sonar TUTORIAL - Eagle Magna, Hummingbird, Lowrance & Garmin. I used a old Eagle Magna fish finder in the 90's for many years. It brought me great joy. When the unit failed in 2021 I found a great working Magna III. Same technology with a few extra features. I recently purchased a new modern Garmin unit with all the bells and whistles. Curiosity I guess. Probably could have bought 20 or 30 of the old fashion sounders for the cost but times change so why not give the new technology a try. I made these clips using the old fishfinder over the course of a few years. It starts really basic but there is some advanced stuff in there. I go back and forth as well with a little fishing mixed in. Making this video, watching the old sounder, I could only think how well the old technology works. It was a joy to use. I know lots of folks still use these and they are readily available so if anyone is wondering and want to see a old fish finder at work with lots of cool examples, here it is. The same basic output goes for all brands such as Hummingbird, Lowrance, Garmin and more.
