This is the story of our first teepee—Version 1.0. We dropped 100-foot pines right here on the land and milled them ourselves into live-edge shiplap siding to create something more than just a shelter. This was about moving out of the tent and into a home we built together. Halfway through the build, the weather turned. We had to wrap the structure in heavy-duty plastic to beat the coming snow, but it worked. Now, we have the wood stove burning all night, and the comfort of the teepee has changed everything for us and the pack. This journey is about more than just construction; it’s about being off-grid with working with the one you love, learning together to live as one with nature.
