Handwashing Elder Hair Outside of The Shower | Wash Cloth Bath Style on The Couch w Baby Shampoo 🧴

Within this video you can see how it can be possible to wash an elder’s hair while sitting on the couch or even in a wheelchair. I do have many techniques I personally utilize weekly. Sometimes actual showering an elderly individual is JUST NOT POSSIBLE. It’s difficult getting in and out of tubs and sometimes there’s other medical conditions like ulcers and more that also prevent showering to take place. They will NEVER usually bathe you in or at a hospital. You, yourself, must find alternative ways to keep yourself clean and healthy hygienically! In this video, I share how I personally utilize a bed liner pad around the neck area, to prevent wetting certain parts of the body, on top of towels, to not soak the individual nor the furniture. I also ALWAYS utilize SAFE, baby shampoos and good moisturizing body washes that help prevent further skin damage and also to help make sure they’re not harsh on the individuals’ eyes and more… I like the use of a bucket or cup of water and washcloths. I also either place the used washcloths in a bag in a waste basket, which I take straight to the washer afterwards, or a waterproof hamper for later washing. As opposed to just leaving wet washcloths around, I find other savvy ways to stow them temporarily before washing… This is just one day and one way I have chosen to wash an elders hair.
