Koralm Tunnel | Expertise in Major Project Construction

The construction of the 33-kilometre-long Koralm Tunnel between Graz and Klagenfurt (Austria) is a true large-scale project. As part of the fixed track system alone, around 180,000 cubic meters of concrete are used, approximately 13,000 slab tracks are installed, and about 1,000 kilometers of cable protection pipes are laid in the side walkways. With dimensions like these, one thing is clear: top-level expertise and close, trust-based collaboration between project partners are essential. This is exactly what Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group, together with our ARGE partner PORR Group, brings to the table. In two consortiums, we are jointly responsible for the construction and commissioning of the fixed track system and side walkways, as well as for all other equipment installations leading up to commissioning at the end of 2025.
